I missed his show on Saturday, but thankfully, Angelo Cataldi asked Ray to come on this morning and repeat his prediction for the Eagles game tonight. Last week, Ray correctly called the game in Green Bay, and highlighted the special teams as an area of high concern. His depth of understanding is remarkable. […]
Pregame Prediction - Eagles win 24-16
I am not sure why, but I can’t find any predictions on the Eagles Redskins game in the DC papers. Don’t their writers put it down for the world to see? I don’t know, and really, I do not care except for curiosity sake.
The Redskins are not destined to finish last this year in […]
Again, the Phillies Punch out the Mets
Not again. Not me. Not this time. Don’t think that I am ungrateful. I am not. I was not raised that way.
I spent the day at a family reunion with my brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins that I have not seen in some time. It was […]
Eagles Pass Rush Has an Opportunity vs Skins
Joe Gibbs offense will focus on running it because they need to. The Redskins starting QB, Jason Campbell, is a first year starter and tossed a couple of picks last week and the Birds want to encourage that behavior as much as possible.
Jevon Kearse is only playing at the new 100%, but he had a […]
Stopping the Redskins run Game is a Big Job
The Redskins will test the Eagles run D. Clinton Portis averaged 5.8 yards a carry against a good Dolphins D. Portis and Ledell Betts gained 157 total yards last week. This is a week to learn about Broderick Bunkley and Mike Patterson. Patterson had an outstanding game last week, and Bunkley wasn’t too bad either, […]
Phillies Get Another Pitcher Injury
Kyle Kendrick was drilled in the side of his right knee with a line drive and had to be helped off of the field. The diagnosis after an X Ray was that it is just a contusion and he will be day to day. The ball was hit way hard and made a nasty […]
I Like Reggie Evans
Reggie Evans. The name does not bring an image to mind. Nothing. I do not know anything but what I have read about him. He had the highest rebounds per 48 minutes average in the NBA last year, at 17. Last season, he averaged 4.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in Denver. […]
Penalties Await the Patriots - Will it be enough?
The Patriots seem to be caught. They have not yet made their case, but ESPN says this:
Goodell is considering severe sanctions, including the possibility of docking the Patriots “multiple draft picks” because it is the competitive violation in the wake of a stern warning to all teams since he became commissioner, the sources said. The […]
Big Red makes the tag…
The championship is on the line. Ric Flair punts and locks a sleeper hold on Andy Reid in the center of the ring! Big Red drops down to his right knee, his left hand outstretched toward his corner, groping for his tag team partner’s hand. Straining within Flair’s crippling grip, beet faced, Andy throws a desperate elbow into Flair’s ribs. The choke […]
Andy Reid - “We surely can’t be going out and having turnovers on special teams.”
The quote in the post title says it all. The Eagles head coach, and coach Rory Segrest as well, left the Eagles vulnerable. It cost them yesterday’s season opening game versus the Packers, 16-13. “Who is going to return punts and kicks?” That question did not seem to get much significant consideration in preparation for the […]

Just for a laugh!
- Dan Rather, Katie Couric, and a tough Marine Sergeant were all captured by terrorists in Iraq. The leader of the terrorists told them that he would grant them each one last request before they were beheaded. Dan Rather said, "Well, I'm a Texan; so I'd like one last bowlful of hot spicy chili." The leader nodded to an underling who left and returned with the chili. Rather ate it all and said, "Now I can die content." Katie Couric said, "I'm a reporter to the end. I want to take out my tape recorder and describe the scene here and what's about to happen. Maybe someday someone will hear it and know that I was on the job till the end." The leader directed an aide to hand over the tape recorder and Couric dictated some comments. She then said, "Now I can die happy." The leader turned and said, "And now, Mr. Marine tough guy, what is your final wish?" "Kick me in the ass," said the Marine. "What?" asked the leader? "Will you mock us in your last hour?" "No, I'm not kidding. I want you to kick me in the ass," insisted the Marine. So the leader shoved him into the open, and kicked him in the ass. The Marine went sprawling, but rolled to his knees, pulled a 9 mm pistol from under his flack jacket, and shot the leader dead. In the resulting confusion, he jumped to his knapsack, pulled out his M4 carbine and sprayed the terrorists with gunfire. In a flash, all of them were either dead or fleeing for their lives. As the marine was untying Rather and Couric, they asked him, "Why didn't you just shoot them in the beginning? Why did you ask them to kick you in the ass first?" What???" replied the Marine, "and have you two assholes report that I was the aggressor?"
